HUE STREET FOOD TOUR

At 5:30 pm, our local food expert will pick you up in Hue to start the street food tour. The first stop is a family home, where you'll taste and learn about three famous cakes: Banh Beo, Banh Nam, and Banh Loc.

Unlike fancy restaurants, this family shop buys tons of fresh ingredients daily, avoiding frozen fridges. In our Hue Food Tour, the guide provides detailed information on the dishes, cooking methods, and the best ways to savor them.

Next, we'll visit another spot to enjoy Bun Hen (Baby basket clams noodles). We'll head to the second floor of the family house for this delightful experience, offering panoramic views of Hue City and the Perfume River.

Continuing our exploration of Hue's street food, we make our way to another family shop. Here, indulge in the delightful flavors of "Chè," a traditional Hue sweet soup crafted from a medley of beans, bananas, coconut meats, coconut milk, and corn. It's a sweet treat that encapsulates the diverse and delectable offerings of Hue's culinary scene. Join us in savoring this exquisite dessert as we delve deeper into the rich tapestry of Hue's street food delights.

Follow the path to the dragon boat station, offering picturesque views of the enchanting Truong Tien Bridge and the romantic Perfume River.

Continuing our culinary journey with a brief stroll, we arrive at a street-side establishment to relish Bun Bo Hue, the city's specialty noodle soup with beef. Resembling Pho in Hanoi but distinct in its own way, this flavorful dish captures the essence of Hue's unique culinary charm, surpassing the appeal of its northern counterpart.

Our culinary adventure concludes with a visit to Lac Thien restaurant, renowned for serving the top Vietnamese rice pancakes near Thuong Tu gate in the Citadel.

At this locale, savor not only the best rice pancakes crafted from a secret ancestral recipe but also partake in an entertaining "beer opening performance" by the owner. Indulge in the delectable cakes while sipping on Huda beer, a well-known local brew in Hue. To cap off the Hue food tour, you'll even learn the Vietnamese way to say "One, Two, Three, cheers" - "Mot, Hai, Ba, zoo."

At around 9 pm, our Hue Street Food Tour comes to an end, making sure you've had your fill. You're welcome to explore the lively night scene in Hue City on your own or, if you'd like, our tour guide can walk you back to your hotel. We really hope you enjoyed your dinner with us!
